Major Period of the Moon
August 10, 2005 - August 10, 2015

The Moon is placed in the tenth house in a conjunction with Saturn. During this period The government will increase its hard line approach. Saturn rules boundaries, so great emphasis will be put on fortifying boundaries, walls and borders around Israel. In the Chaturtamsha chart, the Saturn is debilitated in the 7th house from the Moon, so the Palestinians will continue to transgress Israeli boundaries throughout the Moons period.

In the Shashtamsha chart, the chart for warfare, the Moon is placed in Mula nakshatra in the 8th house, the house of death. Mula nakshatra is ruled by Niritti, the goddess of destruction and calamities. It is also aspected by Mars from the first house. This is a powerful and negative combination which produces and escalates warfare, especially in the period of Mars, but also throughout the Moon’s period.

Mars Sub Period
Jun 10, 2006 – January 9, 2007

Mars is the karaka for warfare and aggression. It is placed in the ascendant in Krittika nakshatra in the Shashtamsha chart, the chart for warfare. Krittika is ruled by Agni, the deity of fire.

Once Agni tried to seduce the seven wives of seven saints. He waited until each of the husbands went out to do his prayers and then took the form of the husband and tried to have his way with the wife. This tactic worked on six of the seven wives, but the seventh wife rebuked him. The six violated wives took the semen from their intercourse with Agni and nurtured it in a collective womb. They later gave birth to Kartikeya, the god of war.

This story shows how Krittika nakshatra is related to warfare. Because of Mars’ placement here in the Shashtamsha chart, it suggests that the period of Mars will be a volatile and warlike period for the Israelis. It also suggests that the violence and war are born of secret and illicit intrigues, deception and fraud. Agni the god of fire, suggests both the literal and figurative incendiary nature of war.

Rahu Sub period
January 9, 2007 – July 10, 2008

Rahu is placed in Bharani the seventh house in the rashi chart. Bharani nakshatra is ruled by Yama the god of death. This placement suggests further bloodshed due to terrorist activity and military action. In mythology, Rahu was a demon and the enemy of the Moon, who swore to gobble him whenever he was close enough. For the Israelis, Rahu represents the Palestinians. This period will produce regular terrorist activity. During this period there may also be an assassination attempt which targets a prominent Israeli leader.

Jupiter Sub Period
July 10, 2008 – November 9, 2009

Jupiter is placed in the third house, the house of courage. It is also placed in Mula Nakshatra, ruled by Niritti or Kali, the goddess of destruction. This period may produce a new and expanded effort on the part of the Israelis to put fear into the hearts of their enemies. In Mythology, Kali was sent out into the battlefield by Siva in order to scare away the demons. In the process, she got drunk on wine, took off all her cloths, made a horrible face, cut the demons heads off, drank their blood out of their skulls and wore their skulls around her neck. This story clearly shows the typical Israeli style of warfare. They have always believed in complete ruthlessness in dealing with their enemies as the best deterrent. The Jupiter period may expand this style of warfare and bring an escalation of conflict and some military successes to the Israelis. This period will also probably give either the loss of a leader or a change in leadership.
